Eugene Burris has been with MECO since 2006.

What attracted you to MECO?

My mom told me about the job.

What does a typical day look like for you?

I’ve done a lot of different jobs within the welding department. Now I’m putting together the trucks.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I like welding things together.

What advice would you give to someone new to MECO?

It’s a pretty laid back and cool place to work.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Chill with family.

What’s a fun fact most people don’t know about you?

People always think I’m mean at first glance, but I’m actually just a nice guy.

Do you have a hidden talent or hobby?

I used to run track.

What is your favorite food?

Pizza.

If you could travel to any state in the U.S., or any country, which state or country would that be?

Africa!
